Writing Books

I'm attempting to write a book, but it's not going so well because I can't find a way to organize everything... However, I have a few starting points that I'm undoubtedly going to share:

  • Everything must be connected-(extremely important) don't start inventing random things at the end of the story, give them some reference to the thing earlier on in the book.

  • Never let your reader have a reason to say, "What are the chances of that happening?" unless, of course, it is required for the effect.

  • Improve your vocabulary-this way, no one has the right to say that your book is a simple beginners book, unless that is exactly what it is.

  • Is your work creative? How many other writers would write about something like that?

  • And most of all, make sure you are completely sure about how a person/animal would react to a situation, so that your readers could relate to your work and to make the story more realistic.

To all who are interested, I got this all from reading the Harry Potter books...four times that is, because it it made of pure awesomeness.
